Professor Steve Walton Mar 8th

Reading and Living Acts Today: An Evening with Professor Steve Walton. Steve is Professor in New Testament at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and is ordained in the Church of England. He combines a love for engaging in depth with Scripture with a passion to communicate the message of Scripture well himself, and to help others communicate that message well in the church and the world today.

He has served in parish ministry, among university students, in vocational advising, and in theological education. He has written widely on the New Testament, including a key textbook Exploring the New Testament, vol 1: The Gospels and Acts (2nd edition; London: SPCK, 2011) co-authored with David Wenham. He is presently working on a major commentary on Acts.

The evening will include a talk, refreshments and an opportunity to ask questions on Acts or Christian faith more generally. Entry is free, but if you would like to contribute, there is a suggested donation of £3. The even takes place Wed 8 March 2017 19:30–21:15 at St Matthew and St Oswald's Church, Lawford Road, Rugby CV21 2HR. Please book your place on Eventbrite.
